Written by Joss White

Introduction

Before you can send invoices and work tickets, you'll need to complete a quick one-time setup. This article walks you through each step of the vendor setup wizard.

The wizard only takes a few minutes. Once you've finished, you'll be taken directly to your home screen and can start submitting right away.

Step 1: Welcome

Welcome to Energy Payables, simply read the information shown in this step and click the "Next Step" button.

Step 2: Company Details

Enter your legal company name and select your operating country.

If your company operates in multiple countries, complete setup for your primary country first and then contact us, we'll help you get the rest configured at no charge.

Step 3: Tax Information

Enter your tax details so that your invoices include accurate tax information.

- GST Number (Canadian companies): Your federal government-issued GST number

- Tax Regions: Select every province or state you send invoices to, and enter your government-issued tax number for each

You can add multiple tax regions. Use the Add A Tax Region button to add more rows.

Step 4: Office Locations

Add the office locations your company operates from. These are used to associate your invoices and work tickets with the correct location.

You can add and manage office locations later from the admin screens.

Step 5: Your Contact Information

Review and confirm that your personal contact details are accurate. This information is used by your customers to identify and reach the right person on your team.

Step 6: Team Members

Add anyone else at your company who should have access to Energy Payables. There's no charge to add team members, and you can add, remove, or update them from the admin screens at any time.

Saving & What Happens Next

Once you've completed all steps, you'll be taken to your home screen. We'd recommend taking a look at New to Energy Payables? Follow our starters guide here to get you up to speed. After this, you can immediately start submitting invoices and work tickets to your customers.

Note: Customers already set up to receive invoices and work tickets from you, will be selectable upon invoice and work ticket creation.

A Note on Sign-In Options

By default your account uses an Energy Payables password. If your company uses Microsoft Single Sign-On (or another SSO provider), contact us and we'll help you switch at no charge.
